There was a minor upset when 8th ranked SOPCC (10-13) was outplayed on the road by tenth ranked Besancon (9-14) 88-63 on Tuesday. Besancon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Tom Foucault (191-94) who scored 20 points and 4 assists. Guard Valentin Vitale-Boiteux (187-1) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Five Besancon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Lucas Thevenard (202-98) who recorded 12 points and point guard Bryan Coudray (189-0) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Besancon maintains tenth position in Group B with 9-14 record. Loser SOPCC dropped to the ninth place with 13 games lost. Besancon will meet higher ranked Andrezieux (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SOPCC will play against Avignon/Pontet and hope to secure a win.
