The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Chalon/Saor as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Chalon/Saor edged 9th ranked Tours at home 100-97. Chalon/Saor made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Antoine Eito (188-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St.) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American guard James Batemon (185-97, college: LMU) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (201-91, college: Lamar) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Five Chalon/Saor and four Tours players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor (14-4) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Tours dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Tours will play next round against strong Sluc Nancy trying to get back on the winning streak. Chalon/Saor will try to continue on its current victory against eighteenth ranked SPO Rouen on the road.
