An exciting game was played in Pardubice. Brno faced Pardubice. Guests from Brno (16-8) defeated host Pardubice (14-11) 88-84. Brno looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Pardubice helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was international center Simon Pursl (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 21 points. American power forward Hunter Mickelson (208-92, college: Kansas) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Brno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-94) who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward David Pekarek (203-96, college: Fordham) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brno are looking forward to face Usti n/Labem (#8) in Usti nad Labem in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pardubice will play on the road against Kolin (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
