There was no surprise when 11th ranked Dax-Gamarde (10-15) was defeated on the road by third ranked Lorient (17-7) 79-65 on Friday. Lorient dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Dax-Gamarde's 18. Lorient forced 24 Dax-Gamarde turnovers. Point guard Sebastien Cape (185-1993) fired 18 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized Guinean forward Abdoulaye Sy (201-1995) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Lorient's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
