No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked H.Afula (11-9) defeated at home 10th ranked E.Ashkelon (8-12) 90-78 on Saturday. American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Michael Holyfield (211-1992, college: SHSU) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five H.Afula players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Storm Warren (211-1988, college: LSU) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Omer Ben David (188-2001) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. H.Afula maintains sixth position with 11-9 record, which they share with M.Haifa. Loser E.Ashkelon keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with M.Ma'ale Adum.. H.Afula will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. E.Ashkelon will play against M.Hod Hasharon (#15) and hope to secure a win.
