The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Decin's (12-13) home victory over 10th ranked NH Ostrava (9-15) 102-88 on Saturday. Decin dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to NH Ostrava's 38 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Decin had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) who scored that evening 28 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ondrej Siska (190-93) supported him with 19 points and 11 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by the former international power forward Petr Bohacik (205-85, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for NH Ostrava. American-Puerto Rican point guard Emanuel Ubilla (187-86, college: FDU) added 11 points and 11 assists for lost side. Four Decin and five NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Decin have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 12-13 record. NH Ostrava at the other side keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. Decin will meet at home bottom-ranked Olomoucko (#12) in the next round. NH Ostrava will play against GBA Fio banka in J.Hradec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
