An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vienna. First ranked BC Vienna faced 4th placed UBSC Graz. Host BC Vienna (13-2) smashed guests from Graz (9-6) 104-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UBSC Graz. The game was mostly controlled by BC Vienna. UBSC Graz managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Vienna shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by UBSC Graz's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Bosnian forward Adin Vrabac (205-94, agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Five BC Vienna players scored in double figures. American forward Lesley Varner Jr (201-98, college: UTRGV) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Paul Isbetcherian (169-0) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Vienna have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record. UBSC Graz at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. BC Vienna are looking forward to face Gmunden Swans (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UBSC Graz will have a break next round.
