No shocking result in a game when third ranked Manresa (14-6) crushed at home 12th ranked Zaragoza (8-12) 94-73 on Saturday. Manresa made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Zaragoza turnovers. American guard Joe Thomasson (193-93, college: Wright St., agency: Octagon Europe) notched 15 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Nigerian forward Chima Moneke (198-95, college: UC Davis) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Manresa players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by American Matt Mobley (192-94, college: St.Bonaventure) did not help to save the game for Zaragoza. Icelandic center Tryggvi Hlinason (215-97) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Manresa maintains third position with 14-6 record having just two points less than leader Real Madrid. Loser Zaragoza keeps the twelfth place with 12 games lost.
