The game in Athens was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Charilaos (9-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Marousi (8-7). Charilaos managed to secure a 4-point victory 78-74 on Saturday. Charilaos forced 19 Marousi turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Marousi's players. Bosnian-British center Fahro Alihodzic (208-89, college: UAB) nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side and naturalized German forward Dimitris Cheilaris (204-90) accounted for 20 points. Four Charilaos players scored in double figures. Point guard Orfeas Stasinos (183-88) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Demetrious Marghellis (201-98) added 5 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Marousi in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Charilaos. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Marousi keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Charilaos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Marousi will play again against Charilaos (#5) and hope to secure a win.
