Regular Season Round 20: Hamm - Loewen 71-72

A very close game took place in Hamm between Hertener Loewen and Hamm. Tenth ranked Hertener Loewen (9-10) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Hamm (9-9). Hertener Loewen managed to escape with a 1-point win 72-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hamm. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Adam Pickett (185-94, college: Winthrop) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Lasse Bungart (190-1) who added 22 points during the contest. American Josh Boutte (198, college: Angelo St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and Kosovan guard Faton Jetullahi (188-94) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hertener Loewen moved-up to ninth place in West, which they share with ETB Miners. Loser Hamm dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Hertener Loewen will meet at home higher ranked Deutzer (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hamm will play against BSV Wulfen (#5) and hope to secure a win.
