We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourth ranked Esportiu (10-7) edged on the road 3rd ranked Torrent (9-7) 83-81 on Saturday. It was a key game for the second position in Group D-A. Esportiu had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by center Miguel Moragas (203-94) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Marc Ramos (-94) supported him with 9 points and 13 rebounds. Even 16 points and 4 steals by point guard Pablo Murcia (179-1) did not help to save the game for Torrent. Mark Hetor (197-1) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Four Torrent players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Esportiu have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group D-A. Loser Torrent dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
