Regular Season Round 18: IK Eos - Kalmar 89-78

Third defeat of league's leader Kalmar (14-3) against fifth ranked IK Eos (9-6) 89-78 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kalmar. IK Eos forced 24 Kalmar turnovers. It was a good game for guard David Niklasson (193-95, college: N.Platte CC) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Joel Svensson (185-96) contributed with 16 points and 7 assists for the winners. IK Eos' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Sebastian Sjoberg (186-0) replied with 16 points, 8 assists and 5 steals and point guard Eddie Alm (187-95) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kalmar. Four Kalmar players scored in double figures. IK Eos maintains fifth position with 9-6 record. Kalmar at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by KFUM Uppsala. Kalmar will play next round against league's leader KFUM Uppsala trying to make it back to the top of the standings. IK Eos will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked RIG Mark in Kinna.
