Regular Season Round 32: Prometey - Cherkasy 122-62

Superleague top team - Prometey (25-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Cherkasy (8-23) in Kamianske 122-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cherkasy. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 68.2 percent from the field. Prometey outrebounded Cherkasy 40-28 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 61.1 percentage. Prometey looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Cherkasy's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of international swingman Oleksandr Lypovyy (201-91, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international power forward Viacheslav Petrov (204-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Ivan Tkachenko (199-97) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and center Igor Sergeev (209-1) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prometey have an impressive 25-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 25-0 record. Cherkasy at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 23 games lost. Prometey are looking forward to face Kyiv Basket (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cherkasy will play against Krivbas (#8) in Kryvyi Rih and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
