Regular Season Round 18: Zamora - Marbella 73-80

There was an upset when higher ranked Zamora (10-8) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Marbella (7-11) 80-73 on Monday. Power forward Devin Wright (201-86) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic (203-99) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Marbella players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican guard Bobby Harris (185-91, college: AIC, agency: Duran International) scored 19 points and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Marbella maintains twelfth position in Silver with 7-11 record. Loser Zamora keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Marbella will meet at home higher ranked Burgos (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zamora will play against Cantabria where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
