Regular Season Round 33: Mykolaiv - Budivelnyk 70-75

Very expected game when 12th ranked Mykolaiv (6-23) was defeated at home by second ranked Budivelnyk (23-8) 75-70. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-17 Mykolaiv's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 75-70 at the end of the game. Mykolaiv was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for international swingman Bogdan Bliznyuk (198-1995, college: EWU) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Croatian center Matej Radunic (211-1996) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Andre Walker (186-1996, college: Loyola, MD) added 11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Mykolaiv. Mykolaiv's coach Arnis Vecvagars rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Budivelnyk maintains second place with 23-8 record having just three point less than leader Prometey. Mykolaiv at the other side stay dead last with 23 lost games. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mykolaiv will play at home against Krivbas (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
