Regular Season Round 19: Hogsbo - IK Eos 87-84

Fifth-ranked IK Eos (9-8) gave a tough game to third ranked Hogsbo (14-4) in Goteborg. Hogsbo managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected easier game. Hogsbo players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian power forward Tony Vitali (203-1991) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Alexander Karras (193-1998, college: E.Wyoming) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Guard Joel Svensson (185-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals and guard David Niklasson (193-1995, college: N.Platte CC) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for IK Eos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hogsbo maintains third place with 14-4 record behind leader KFUM Uppsala. IK Eos at the other side keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Hogsbo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. IK Eos will play at home against Helsingborg (#8) and hope to get back on the winning track.
