Regular Season Round 26: Vitre - Poitiers 66-72

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Vitre (12-14) was defeated at home by second ranked Poitiers (21-5) 72-66 on Friday. Poitiers forced 21 Vitre turnovers. Croatian Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-1988, college: Colorado) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Poitiers players scored in double figures. Point guard Louis Prolhac (177-1991) responded with 12 points and 6 assists and forward Vincent Fandelet (199-1992) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Poitiers have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A with 21-5 record having just two point less than leader Le Havre. Loser Vitre keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Toulouse and Cergy-Pontoise.
