There was an upset in S'Arenal where 4th placed Coruna (13-9) was edged by seventeenth ranked Palma (4-16) 91-88 on Sunday. Palma had a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Pol Figueras (187-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. American guard Elijah Brown (193-1995, college: Oregon) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alejandro Hernandez (189-1990) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 assists and American forward Nick Ward (203-1997, college: Michigan St.) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Coruna's coach Sergio Garcia Martin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Palma maintains seventeenth place with 4-16 record. Loser Coruna keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Palma will meet higher ranked Alicante (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
