Very important is a road loss of second ranked Albacete (14-5) against twelfth ranked Alginet (5-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Albacete was defeated by Alginet in Alginet 77-65. It was a great evening for point guard Miguel Martinez (183-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Power forward Javier Nicolau (208-1997, college: UMC) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Alginet players scored in double figures. Alginet's coach Jose Canales allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Will Moreton (198-1997, college: Stonehill, agency: Duran International) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Victor Ruiz (200-1995, college: Academy of Art, agency: Promo Sport ID) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Newly promoted Alginet maintains twelfth place in Silver with 5-10 record. Albacete at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Alginet will play against Villarrobledo (#14) at home in the next round. Albacete will play against Cartagena (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
