Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Torino (0-16) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Vicenza (4-13) 73-69 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Vicenza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Naturalized Argentinian Gisel Villarruel (175-1994) scored 28 points to lead the charge for the winners and Greek power forward Parthena Chrysanthidou (180-1999) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Agnese Bevolo (175-2002) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and center Clara Salvini (180-1992) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Torino players scored in double figures. Torino's coach Mario Corrado tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vicenza moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Newly promoted Torino still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Vicenza will meet higher ranked Bolzano AV (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Torino will play against Carugate (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
