Regular Season Round 18: Sloga Uppsala - KFUM Lidingo 106-88

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when second-best KFUM Lidingo (13-4) lost on the road to third ranked Sloga Uppsala (13-5) 106-88 on Thursday. Sloga Uppsala made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Naturalized Serbian guard Stefan Zivkovic (185-1993) notched 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists to lead the effort and Serbian center Milos Tanaskovic (203-1993) supported him with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Fredrik Larsson (199-1993) did not help to save the game for KFUM Lidingo. Forward Alexandar Petrovic (197-1993) added 20 points. Five Sloga Uppsala and four KFUM Lidingo players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sloga Uppsala maintains third position with 13-5 record behind leader Tureberg. Loser KFUM Lidingo keeps the second place with four games lost. Sloga Uppsala will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KFUM Lidingo will play against Jamtland 2 and hope to secure a win.
