Second Stage Round 10: Gargzdu - Telsiai 77-85

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gargzdai. Third ranked Telsiai faced their biggest opponent Gargzdu. Guests from Telsiu (27-7) defeated host Gargzdu (27-7) 85-77. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Gargzdu. Telsiai made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Gargzdu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-1991) fired 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Deividas Rasys (192-1997) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Marius Runkauskas (186-1986, agency: BIG) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Telsiai have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Gargzdu. Telsiai will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gargzdu will play on the road against LSU-Atletas in Kaunas and is hoping to win this game.
