Regular Season Round 22: Constanta - Rapid 88-66

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Rapid (4-15) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Constanta (9-11) 88-66. The game was mostly controlled by Constanta. Rapid was better in third quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Constanta players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jakob Lowrance (206-1997, college: Central Mo., agency: One Motive Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. Saint Lucian-Canadian guard Adika Peter-McNeilly (190-1993, college: Ryerson) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Constanta players scored in double figures. American forward Erik Copes (203-1993, college: Z*Orangeville A's, agency: Inception Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Devon Bookert (190-1993, college: FSU) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Rapid. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Constanta moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Steaua B. Newly promoted Rapid stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Constanta will play against Focsani (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Rapid will play against Oradea (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
