There was no surprise when 11th ranked AIK Basket (4-15) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Helsingborg (7-10) 83-66 on Saturday. Helsingborg forced 19 AIK Basket turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Sukhjot Bains (198, college: UFV, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Anton Persson (180-1997) who added 21 points during the contest. Helsingborg's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Mario Blazevic (180-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals and the former international Serkan Inan (201-1986) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Helsingborg moved-up to eighth place. AIK Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Team4Q. Helsingborg will meet at home Taby Basket (#9) in the next round. AIK Basket will play against the league's leader KFUM Uppsala and will have a slim chance for a victory.
