There was no surprise when 9th ranked Hamar (4-17) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Skallagrimur (9-14) 96-89 on Tuesday. Hamar trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 24-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 89-96 at the end of the game. Skallagrimur made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Bryan Battle (196-1999, college: FHU, agency: IceBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Bosnian center Simun Kovac (203-1996, college: Concord) helped adding 12 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Bjorn Asgeirsson (184-2000, college: Union, TN) responded with 27 points and 4 assists and American guard Dee Franklin (196-1992, college: FVSU) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hamar's coach Rui Costa tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Skallagrimur maintains seventh place with 9-14 record. Hamar lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 17 games lost.
