Ninth-ranked Amyntas D. (10-9) gave a tough game to first ranked Karditsas (17-1) in Athens on Wednesday. The visitors from Karditsa managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. Karditsas outrebounded Amyntas D. 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-1995) stepped up and scored 8 points and 22 rebounds for the winners and point guard Dimitris Verginis (194-1987, agency: Wasserman) chipped in 16 points.
