Second Stage Round 4: Brno 2 - SP Basket 72-63

Rather expected game when 11th ranked SP Basket (9-13) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Brno 2 (12-10) 72-63 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brno 2 made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jakub Necas (198-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and forward Simon Svoboda (194-2004) who added 14 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Tobias Mikula (204-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Lukas Hrebik (183-2002) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Brno 2 maintains eighth position in Places 7-12 with 12-10 record. Loser SP Basket keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Brno 2 will meet higher ranked Levharti Chomutov (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SP Basket will play against Pardubice (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
