Second Stage Round 1: BAC - Randers 73-95

The game between closely ranked teams ended with BAC's home loss to Randers 73-95 on Saturday. Randers outrebounded BAC 44-30 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. American guard Brandon Randolph (187-1995, college: Utah Valley) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Josh Fortune (196-1994, college: Colorado) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Fortune is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Randers' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Marius Kirkholt (192-1997) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Malthe Bjerregaard (196-2003) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Randers will meet at home Svendborg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BAC will play against Naestved and hope to secure a win.
