Very important is a home loss of first ranked Stuttgart (14-4) against fourteenth ranked Mannheim (5-13) on Saturday night. Host Stuttgart was defeated by Mannheim in a tough game in Stuttgart 70-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Stuttgart. American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-1991, college: AAMU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-1992) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Greek guard Vassilis Lampropoulos (196-1990) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Edward Hall added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Stuttgart. Four Stuttgart players scored in double figures. Mannheim maintains fourteenth place in South West with 5-13 record. Stuttgart at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Mannheim will play against higher ranked TV Langen (#12) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stuttgart will play against Tuebingen 2 (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
