Regular Season Round 21: Monaco - Bourg 93-84

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Monaco (14-7) defeated at home 12th ranked JL Bourg (10-12) 93-84 on Saturday. Monaco made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU) stepped up and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American guard Mike James (185-1990, college: Lamar) chipped in 7 points and 11 assists. Monaco's coach Sasa Obradovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jalen Jones (201-1993, college: Texas A&M) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import CJ Harris (191-1991, college: Wake Forest) scored 16 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Five JL Bourg players scored in double figures. Monaco maintains third place with 14-7 record having just three points less than leader Levallois. JL Bourg at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Roanne. Monaco will meet at home Chorale de Roanne (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JL Bourg will play against Paris and hope to secure a win.
