There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Moron (9-9) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Gijon (9-11) 86-80 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Unai Mendicote (196-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. American-Italian point guard Anthony Libroia (180-1994, college: Adelphi) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Gijon's coach Guillermo Arenas used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Antonio Burgos (201-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Cuban-Belgian point guard Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz (185-1997) added 17 points respectively for the guests.
