Regular Season Round 27: Belfius Mons - Den Bosch 88-85

There was a change at the BNXT League leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 27 took place in Jemappes between two undefeated teams where Belgian Belfius Mons-Hainaut edged Dutch Den Bosch (0-1) 88-85 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a great evening for Dutch forward Emmanuel Nzekwesi (203-1997, college: ORU) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Marcus Tyus (185-1994, college: Omaha) helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was center Thomas van der Mars (208-1990, college: Portland, agency: Duran International) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Clay Mounce (201-1998, college: Furman) scored 22 points. Five Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Belfius Mons-Hainaut (1-0) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Den Bosch at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Groningen. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
