Regular Season Round 19: KFUM Lidingo - Jamtland 2 108-103

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Jamtland 2 (4-14) was defeated on the road by second ranked KFUM Lidingo (14-4) 108-103 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. KFUM Lidingo dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Jamtland 2's 50. They outrebounded Jamtland 2 53-29 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. KFUM Lidingo looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for forward Alexandar Petrovic (197-1993) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Guard John Sundkvist (185-1993) helped adding 29 points. At the losing side Max Vall responded with 42 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and forward John Palsson (190-1999) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jamtland 2's coach Ingemar Nord tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. KFUM Lidingo maintains second place with 14-4 record having just three point less than leader Tureberg. Loser Jamtland 2 keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. KFUM Lidingo will meet at home Umea 2 (#4) in the next round. Jamtland 2 will play against Akersberga (#5) and hope to secure a win.
