Regular Season Round 21: IK Eos - KFUM Uppsala 75-91

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Lund. Leader KFUM Uppsala faced 4th placed IK Eos. Guests from Uppsala (20-0) defeated host IK Eos (11-9) 91-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of IK Eos. KFUM Uppsala shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Center Mikael Axelsson (208-1994) stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners and guard Ludvig Friberg (185-2000) chipped in 11 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was forward Andreas Von Uthmann (197-1996) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jacob Jangered (203-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five KFUM Uppsala and four IK Eos players scored in double figures. IK Eos' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. KFUM Uppsala have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-0 record. Loser IK Eos keep the fourth position with nine games lost. KFUM Uppsala will meet Taby Basket (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. IK Eos will play against Wetterbygden (#5) in Huskvarna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
