Everything went according to plan when third ranked Wolmirstedt (12-6) defeated on the road 9th ranked SSV Lok Bernau (7-12) 74-70 on Sunday. The winners were led by Bill Borekambi (198-1992, college: Sequoias CC) who scored that evening 21 points and American swingman Jordan Talbert (198-1991, college: MSSU) supported him with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by Malte Delow (198-2001) did not help to save the game for SSV Lok Bernau. Christoph Tilly (210-2003) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wolmirstedt have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North. Loser SSV Lok Bernau dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Wolmirstedt will meet at home Duesseldorf (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. SSV Lok Bernau will play against Schwelm (#6) and hope to secure a win.
