No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Samara (16-9) crushed 12th ranked Kupol-Rodniki (7-19) in Izhevsk 98-69 on Tuesday. It was a great shooting night for Samara especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kupol-Rodniki's players. The winners were led by guard Vladimir Pichkurov (197-1990, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored that evening 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Igor Smygin (197-1987) supported him with 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Samara players scored in double figures. Even 19 points by international guard Grigory Motovilov (193-1998) did not help to save the game for Kupol-Rodniki. The former international power forward Nikita Zverev (210-1994) added 8 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Kupol-Rodniki's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Samara have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-9 record. Kupol-Rodniki lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 19 games lost.
