There was an upset when higher ranked Cornella (10-11) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Gran Canaria 2 (7-14) 81-74 on Wednesday. Gran Canaria 2 made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Cornella turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Ruben Lopez (203-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Rafael Garcia (185-2000) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots).
