Regular Season Round 22: Shumen - Rilski 75-102

NBL top team - Rilski (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Shumen (2-17) 102-75. Rilski dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Shumen's 36. Rilski forced 20 Shumen turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Trey Porter (208-1996, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Deyan Karamfilov (180-1994, agency: BIG) contributed with 17 points, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Four Rilski players scored in double figures. Rilski's coach Ludmil Hadjisotirov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Marcus Myers (185-1996, college: Aurora) replied with 21 points and 5 assists and guard Aleksandar Milov (198-1995) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Shumen. Rilski maintains first position with 17-2 record. Newly promoted Shumen keeps the ninth place with 17 games lost. Rilski are looking forward to face Levski (#3) in Sofia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shumen will play at home against Chernomorets (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
