Regular Season Round 21: Zentro Basket - Menorca 77-82

Very predictable result in Madrid where fifth ranked Menorca (12-8) defeated 12th ranked Zentro Basket (6-14) 82-77 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican point guard Jhivvan Jackson (183, college: UTSA) who scored 36 points (!!!) (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Forward Diego Alderete (197-2000) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Toni Naspler (196-2003) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Belgian center Vincent Gielen (208-2000) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Menorca maintains fifth place in Silver with 12-8 record. Newly promoted Zentro Basket dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Menorca will meet at home Gran Canaria 2 (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zentro Basket will play against Mollet and hope to secure a win.
