Regular Season Round 23: St-Quentin - ASA 75-71
Date: March 11, 2022
There was no surprise when 15th ranked ASA (8-14) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Saint-Quentin (12-9) 75-71 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Saint-Quentin looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Lionel Gaudoux (198-1995) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-1993, college: Richmond) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Croatian center Ivan Vranes (207-1996, agency: Interperformances) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and American-Nigerian Obi Enechionyia (208-1995, college: Temple) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four ASA players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saint-Quentin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted ASA dropped to the seventeenth position with 14 games lost. Saint-Quentin will meet Boulazac Basket (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ASA will play against Tours and hope to secure a win.
