We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gamarde les Bains where GET Vosges was edged by Dax-Gamarde 88-85 on Saturday. Dax-Gamarde looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Anthony Da Silva (185-2001) stepped up and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and Lithuanian forward Gilvydas Biruta (206-1991, college: URI) chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Marvin Mokono (194-2000) responded with 25 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and power forward Ludovic Martel (208-2000) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
