Regular Season Round 27: Iskra Svit - Komarno 86-81

The game between second ranked Komarno (16-11) and seventh ranked Iskra Svit (8-18) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Komarno was defeated by Iskra Svit in a tough game in Svit 81-86. Iskra Svit made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American point guard AJ Walton (184-1990, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). Serbian point guard Sasa Avramovic (193-1993, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Iskra Svit players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Vuk Djordjevic (203-1999) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Jorden Duffy (185-1996, college: N.Texas) scored 22 points and 7 assists. Iskra Svit maintains seventh place with 8-18 record. Newly promoted Komarno dropped to the third position with 11 games lost. Iskra Svit are looking forward to face higher ranked Handlova (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Komarno will play against Prievidza and is hoping to win this game.
