Important game to mention about took place in Shumen. Ninth ranked Shumen (3-17) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Chernomorets (12-8) 88-85 on Monday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Shumen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 24. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian center Dejan Bjelic (209-1990) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Aleksandar Milov (198-1995) accounted for 30 points for the winning side. International center Andrey Ivanov (206-1996, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Evgeni Hadjirusev (193-1995) added 20 points and 8 assists respectively for Chernomorets in the defeat. Four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Shumen maintains ninth place with 3-17 record. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost.
