Second Stage Round 2: Akademik P. - H.Galil Elion 55-84

An interesting game for Israeli Galil Elion which played road game in Plovdiv against Bulgarian Akademik P.. Galil Elion had an easy win 84-55. Galil Elion dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Akademik P.'s 18. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American forward Bryce Washington (201-1996, college: La-Lafayette) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian point guard Ike Iroegbu (188-1995, college: WSU) chipped in 9 points and 8 assists during the contest. Guard Nikolay Titkov (184-1998) responded with 17 points and American power forward Nick Fullard (211-1996, college: William Penn) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galil Elion will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Akademik P. will play at home against Levski to get more than just one victory in their record.
