Regular Season Round 2: TalTech - Tartu 84-80

Very expected game in Tallinn where Tartu was defeated by TalTech 84-80. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. TalTech made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. American point guard Brandon Childress (183-1997, college: Wake Forest) notched 27 points to lead the effort and Oliver Metsalu (196-1993) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by the former international Mart Rosenthal (192-1999) did not help to save the game for Tartu. American center Emmanuel Wembi (205-1997, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tartu's coach Nikolajs Mazurs rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TalTech will play against Parnu on the road in the next round. Tartu will play against Tarvas in Rakvere and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
