The game between closely ranked teams ended with SOPCC's (5-6) road victory over Toulouse (3-8) 90-84 on Friday. SOPCC made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Cameroonian guard Frank Tchoubaye (198-1992) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jacques Eyoum (195-2000) chipped in 22 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Ron Anderson Jr (203-1989, college: S.Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Alexandre Aygalenq (187-1997) added 19 points respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Toulouse's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SOPCC will meet at home Lourdes-Tarbes (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toulouse will play against Besancon (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
