Regular Season Round 24: ASA - Tours 90-69
Date: March 18, 2022
There was a small surprise in Gries where fourteenth ranked ASA (10-14) smashed 11th ranked Tours (10-12) 90-69 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Marquis Wright (185-1995, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 assists and Croatian center Ivan Vranes (207-1996, agency: Interperformances) who added 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four ASA players scored in double figures. ASA's coach Julien Espinosa felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Dylan Affo Mama (196-1999) with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (201-1991, college: Lamar) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted ASA maintains fourteenth position with 10-14 record. Tours at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth place with 12 games lost. ASA will meet higher ranked Aix-Maurienne (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tours will play against Denain Voltaire and hope to secure a win.
