Second Stage Round 3: Angers - Le Havre 85-80

Rather expected game when STB Le Havre (5-6) was defeated on the road by Etoile Angers (9-2) 85-80 on Friday. Etoile Angers forced 32 STB Le Havre turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Akaemji Williams (175-1996, college: LSSU) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Guyanese forward Youri Morose (202-1997) chipped in 27 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Valentin Bigote (196-1992) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-1985, college: PFW) added 13 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) respectively. Four STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Etoile Angers will meet Caen (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. STB Le Havre will play against La Rochelle (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
