There was no surprise in Ankara where 11th ranked Turk Telekom (10-13) was edged by fifth ranked Gaziantep (14-9) 66-65 on Saturday. Gaziantep outrebounded Turk Telekom 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. American Milton Doyle (193-1993, college: Loyola, IL) scored 25 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Jarmar Gulley (196-1991, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Can Ugur Ogut (178-1992) responded with 22 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and the former international power forward Samet Geyik (206-1993) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Turk Telekom's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gaziantep maintains fifth position with 14-9 record. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Gaziantep will meet at home Buyukcekmece (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Yalova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
