Regular Season Round 23: Roanne - Nanterre 91-98

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Chorale de Roanne (10-14) was defeated at home by eighth ranked JSF Nanterre (13-10) 98-91 on Saturday. JSF Nanterre made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Chorale de Roanne turnovers. It was a great shooting night for JSF Nanterre especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Nick Johnson (191-1992, college: Arizona) who scored 26 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import Chris Horton (202-1994, college: Austin Peay, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Boubacar Toure (213-1995, college: EMU) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and Eritrean-Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-1992, college: Ottawa) added 29 points respectively for the hosts. Four JSF Nanterre and five Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre maintains eighth place with 13-10 record, which they share with Limoges CSP. Chorale de Roanne lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. JSF Nanterre will meet at home Paris (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chorale de Roanne will play against Le Mans and hope to secure a win.
